No Words Wednesday- Challenge #9

Hi!

This is the first time I am posting a picture clicked by me. I am not really good at photography but I love it. I also like to learn and try different things just like my father, who is btw really great at photography.

Moreover, I love to travel and I do travel a lot (nearly every year we go on a tour for 7-10 days and small trips of 2 days have become common)

I feel travelling really is a stress reliever, a break from the monotony of our fast lives, race against the clocks. I always feel fresh and energized.

These are original, unedited and taken by me while in a jungle safari through Bandipur national park in Karnataka,India which I visited in May 2018.

  2. I absolutely do not travel well — especially through crowded, hectic airports. The sole exception is taking wandering road trips with two to four close friends. Those, I have enjoyed.

I haven’t done one in years (everyone moved out of town except me), but a small group of us used to hit the road for two or three day’s travel with only an hour or so notice. We’d be sitting around in the coffee shop, someone might say, “I’d like to see the Hot Springs today”, and we’d all agree it was a good idea. A hour later, we’d be packed and on the road.

Often, Ramyani, we’d just hit the road and wander for a day or two. No destination except to discover whatever we could discover.

    1. This is beautiful. Unplanned road trips have their own charm. I have always wanted to hit the road without knowing the destination.
Crowded airports are irritating, i agree with you on that. Road trips are the best and especially when you travel with your best friends.. so glad you shared with me๐Ÿ˜Š

      1. A while back I learned there is an English word — borrowed from the Spanish by John Steinbeck — vacilandro. As Steinbeck uses it, it means to take your time wandering to your destination. If you ever get to Colorado, Ramyani, let me know you’re coming. Perhaps we can vacilandro on a road trip to some scenic destination.

  3. Peacocks, lovely.
I don’t travel as such, but I try to get out once a week for a several-mile walk through rural rides; fresh air, away from the travel. only my voice disturbing the peace. A great re-energizer.
